Physical Therapist Assistant
Work alongside licensed Physical Therapists to deliver hands-on rehabilitation care at skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and rehab centers across Southern California.
Role Overview
As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Azzur Workforce Solutions, you'll implement PT-directed treatment plans and deliver direct rehabilitation care to patients recovering from injury, surgery, or illness at partner facilities across Los Angeles County. PTAs play a vital role in helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence — working under the supervision of a licensed PT in skilled nursing, outpatient, and inpatient settings. Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Perform therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and functional mobility training
- Apply modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy as directed
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising PT
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and activity modifications
- Document daily treatment notes and patient progress accurately and on time
- Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and safe patient transfers
Requirements
- Active California PTA license — required
- Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- 1+ years of clinical PTA experience preferred (new grads considered for select SNF roles)
- Ability to perform patient transfers and assist with mobility (proper body mechanics required)
- Strong communication skills and patient-centered, motivating approach to therapy
