Medical Assistant
Support physicians and clinical staff at outpatient clinics and specialty practices across Southern California. A dynamic role combining patient interaction, clinical tasks, and administrative support.
Role Overview
As a Medical Assistant with Azzur Workforce Solutions, you'll play a key role in keeping clinical operations running smoothly at outpatient clinics, specialty offices, and multi-physician practices across Los Angeles County. Medical Assistants bridge the gap between front desk and clinical care — rooming patients, documenting in EHR, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a welcoming experience for every patient. We match your certification, experience, and location preferences to the right practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain chief complaint, and document accurately in EHR
- Measure and record vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight
- Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies for physician visits and procedures
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform basic clinical procedures as directed
- Perform phlebotomy, EKG, and specimen collection as needed
- Assist with scheduling, prescription refills, and patient communication
- Maintain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant clinical areas
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) — preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- 1+ years of clinical MA experience in an outpatient or physician office setting
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) — Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar
- Strong communication and patient-facing skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly valued at many partner clinics
