Role Overview
As a Behavioral Health Worker with Azzur Workforce Solutions, you'll provide direct support, supervision, and skill-building assistance to individuals living with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, or co-occurring conditions at residential and community programs across Los Angeles County. BHWs are advocates and allies — helping clients build independence, navigate daily life, and engage meaningfully with their communities. We place BHWs in group homes, day programs, crisis stabilization units, and outpatient behavioral health settings, matching your experience and schedule to the right environment.

- Use de-escalation techniques to support clients during behavioral crises
- Assist clients with ADLs, medication reminders, and daily living skill development
- Support community integration — accompanying clients to appointments, activities, and outings
- Document behavioral observations, incidents, and progress notes accurately and on time
- Collaborate with the clinical team to report changes in client status and needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in behavioral health, mental health, or direct support work preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Training in de-escalation, CPI, or equivalent crisis intervention techniques preferred
